Manuscript Review

We offer 3 levels to choose from in Step 2 of the manuscript review process -- Diagnosis, CATscan or Operate.

• Diagnosis -- We read your entire book, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses, and tell you how to make it more compelling.
• CATscan -- We give you an advanced manuscript review, showing you exactly how and where to make changes to improve your manuscript
• Operate -- We take your analysis and rewrite the manuscript for you so that your time is freed up.

Here's a breakdown of each level you can choose from for your manuscript:

We tell you exactly how and where to make your manuscript more compelling. We give you a critical analysis of the entire manuscript, PLUS, comments in the text itself for what to do where.

This includes a 3-5 page analysis, as well as comments in the pages.

Areas of analysis can include:

• General narrative
• Organization or structure
• Presentation of ideas
• General content
• Ideal audience
• Voice
• Personal stories, anecdotes, examples
• Author's credibility, vulnerability and/or accessibility

In addition, the comments within the text itself show you exactly what to do and where, within the pages and paragraphs. Suggestions in the pages can include:

• Where to move specific content for stronger organization
• Where to add content. for stronger narrative support
• What to delete for greater focus
• Where to revise for clarity of thinking
• Which sections to change to avoid conflicting logic

Once you are done revising your manuscript, this service includes another review so that you get feedback on your revisions. This is a Second Checkup.

The overall goal is to make the content compelling so that your ideal reader is engaged, while showing you exactly what to change and where.

(Word counts may change if you revise or add content to your manuscript, after doing the Checkup. We need a word count for the actual manuscript you will be submitting for this service.)

Turnaround time: 15 - 20 business days

Investment: based on word count.

We free up your time by rewriting it for you. Based on the analysis made in the Checkup and/or Diagnosis services, we implement all suggestions made, plus more, and rewrite your manuscript -- all while retaining your message and voice.

After we write Draft 1, you will review, answer questions, and give feedback. We integrate your answers and create Draft 2, for a total of two drafts for this service.

We always start with a Manuscript Checkup. This is because the Checkup gives you clarity about what your next step should be. With your Checkup finished, you're ready to take the next step toward getting your book done.

                                       --First draft: 15 business days
                                       --Second draft: 10 business days
